Jakub Zeman
Mgr. Jakub Zeman, PhD.
The main scientific focus of Jakub Zeman is the accelerator physics and environmental physics. He has been cooperating on the development of the Centre for Nuclear and Accelerator Technologies (CENTA) since 2013. He has been working on development of ion beam analysis techniques, specifically particle induced X-ray emission (PIXE), particle induced gamma ray emission (PIGE) and Rutherford backscattering (RBS). He has been contributing to sample preparation for the accelerator mass spectrometry (AMS) measurements as well. His research area is quite wide – the samples he has been analyzing included biological, geological, extraterrestrial (meteorites) and industrial materials, plus pieces of art.
