Radiocarbon analysis of aerosols in Bratislava
Abstract:
Carbonaceous aerosols are one of the main components of total atmospheric aerosols and they represent an important factor influencing not only the environment, but also human health. Therefore, it is important to study the sources of these particles in the atmosphere. Radiocarbon analysis can be used to determine the ratio between fossil and non-fossil sources of carbonaceous aerosols. Results of first aerosol radiocarbon measurements and source apportionment results of samples collected at the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Informatics during one-year period will be presented.
