v utorok 13.6.2023 o 19:00 hod.
The organizers of the Algebraic Graph Theory International Webinar would like to invite you to join us and other colleagues on June 13, 2023, at 7pm Central European Summer Time (= 5pm UTC, please note that we switched to summer time), for the next presentation delivered by Grigory Ryabov.
The title: Schurity problem for S-rings: overview and new results
Abstract:
Every permutation group induces in a natural way a coherent configuration. Moreover, many concepts from the permutation group theory can be transferred to the coherent configuration theory. However, not every coherent configuration is induced by a suitable permutation group. This is the reason why the coherent configuration theory is sometimes called ``group theory without groups''. A coherent configuration is called schurian if it is induced by a suitable permutation group. Finding a border between schurian and nonschurian coherent configurations (schurity problem) presents one of the most fundamental problems in this theory. The talk will be devoted to the schurity problem for S-rings (Schur rings) which can be considered as a special important case of coherent configurations.
