Department of Theoretical Physics

The department is heavily involved in lecturing core physics courses in the Physics Bachelor Program, and offers Theoretical Physics Master Program, as well as General Physics and Mathematical Physics Doctoral Program. Among the lecturing tasks are also physics courses for the teacher's training programs with physics specialization both at the bachelor and master level. Additionally, it also provides math recitation leaders in various programs. Studies in Theoretical Physics include Mathematical Physics, High-Energy Physics, Gravitation Theory + Cosmology, and Many-Body Physics. 

The Theoretical Physics Department is active in research in Mathematical Physics, Elementary Particle Physics, Gravitation Theory & Cosmology, and Physics of Many Body Systems. Its members actively collaborate with scientists at foreign universities in Vienna, Graz, Helsinki, Birmingham and Geneva, and CERN, DIAS Dublin, SISSA Trieste, DESY Hamburg and JINR Dubna research institutes. They participate directly in research projects at the LHC ATLAS and ALICE Experiments and SPS NA62 Experiment at CERN, Geneva.
