Description of the Study Program
The doctoral studies in Geophysics occupy a unique position and constitute the only program of its type in Slovakia. The doctoral advisers in this program are internationally recognized in the areas of earthquake physics, of the propagation of seismic waves, of the processes taking place in the ionosphere and in the Earth’s core. Doctoral studies in geophysics allow students to become a part of the global scientific community within the considered area and also to become members of international grant projects. The graduates are well prepared to start work at any of the prestigious institutions devoted to theoretical and applied research of the structure and the processes taking place in the entire planet and its immediate surroundings.
Doctoral Scholarships
Full-time doctoral students who have permanent residency in the European Union are entitled to receive a scholarship for the entire standard duration of their studies.
