Results of the latest measurements of the top-quark mass by the experiments ATLAS and CMS and what theory say on them

Abstract:
The seminar deals with the present status of top-quark mass measurement carried out by the experiments ATLAS and CMS. The top-quark mass is one of the parameters of the Standard Model (SM) and its precision measurement is of great importance for consistency tests of the SM, for question of the SM vacuum stability but also it has a significant impact on cosmological models with inflation. Within the talk will be discussed questions concerning the need for precision measurements of the top-quark mass and the issues connected with the precise top-quark measurement. There will be shown basic methods of the top-quark mass measurement, the latest results of its measurement as well as the measurement future perspectives.
