Neutrinos and Physics beyond the Standard Model
Abstract:
The absolute mass of neutrinos and their nature as either Dirac or Majorana fermions are among the few unknown properties of Standard Model particles. Furthermore, models of neutrino mass generation constitute well motivated scenarios of Beyond-the-Standard Model physics. The interplay between high energy collider physics and low energy searches provides us with an effective approach to rule out, constrain and pinpoint such models. In my talk, I will give an overview of models of neutrino mass generation and their associated searches.
I will also discuss the connection between the presence of lepton number violation and the matter-antimatter asymmetry of the Universe.
