RNDr. Miroslav Ješkovský, PhD.:
Current status of IBA analysis in CENTA laboratory

Abstract:
IBA (ion beam analysis) abbreviation represents techniques, that use interactions of accelerated ions (up to several MeV) with matter for a sample analysis. This involves techniques like PIXE (particle induced X-ray emission), NRA (nuclear reaction analysis), RBS (Rutherford back-scattering) and ERDA (elastic recoil detection analysis), that are widely used for non-destructive analysis and some of them were successfully implemented in CENTA laboratory. The seminar will be aimed to inform the audience about experimental setup used for IBA analysis. The results from the measurements of environmental samples, historical artefacts and first results of nanolayers analysis on semiconductor materials will be presented.
