From disconjugacy of linear Hamiltonian systems to Sturm separation theorems and back

Abstract:
This is a joint work with Peter Šepitka (Masaryk University, Brno). We present an overview of our recent contributions to the regular and singular Sturm theory of linear Hamiltonian systems (2021, 2023, 2025), leading to new equivalent conditions in the well-known Reid roundabout theorem (1971) about the disconjugacy of the system on a compact interval.
