The latest LHC results (Higgs boson, top quark) and fundamental questions of particle physics
Abstract:
The latest results obtained within the LHC experiments, concerning mainly the Higgs boson and the top quark, will be presented. The obtained results will be discussed from the perspective of fundamental questions of particle physics - what is the experimental status of the Standard Model, what can be said about vacuum stability, what is the state of understanding of the non-gauge interaction that the Higgs boson introduces into the Standard Model. What perspectives will the HL-LHC phase provide us with and why is a new high-performance accelerator of the FCC type needed.
