Comet C1995 O1 (Hale-Bopp)
Hale Bopp animationProcessed images of comet Hale-Bopp obtained at Modra observatory. Each image shows changes in the inner coma of Hale-Bopp as it approached to perihelion, which oc cu red on April 1, 1997. Calculated ejection velocity of dust particles in shells was about 350 m/s Nucleus rotation period was estimated to be 11.4 hrs. On the left one can see animation of nucleus rotation made from real CCD images of Hale-Bopp.
