Connections

MatFyz CONNECTIONS is a new conference organized by the faculty. For the first time, it will take place on 13 November 2024 in the lecture hall F1. The goal of the conference is to stop the daily hustle at the faculty for one day and to create space to develop connections between the departments and research groups of the faculty. It is an opportunity to share the results with colleagues, promote successful projects, and to learn about the work of researchers from the other departments. We hope that CONNECTIONS will foster discussion and reflection among colleagues, students, alumni, partners and invited guests.
We are proud to host the keynote by Michal Valko (Meta, Inria, ENS Paris-Saclay) with the topic of Gamification of Large Language Models.
The conference will give special attention to industrial collaboration. We will host a keynote by Jiří Šilka (FMFI UK, Astros Solutions) on the topic of Astronomy meets the industry, followed by a panel discussion on the topic of industrial collaboration.
CONNECTIONS 2024 will be concluded by the concert of Vocalatté and the discussions will continue during the consecutive reception.
