Electromagnetic background model of CRESST dark matter search experiment
Abstract:
The CRESST (Cryogenic Rare Event Search with Superconducting Thermometers) dark matter search experiment aims for the detection of dark matter particles via elastic scattering off nuclei in CaWO4 crystals. Experiment is located in National Laboratory in depth Grand Sasso 3800m w.e. In deep underground laboratory is cosmic ray attenuated by rock and main part of background becomes from contamination of construction material. This presentation is focused mainly on present Geant4 based model of CRESST contamination installation, its update and plans.
