Roman Krčmár:
Eight-vertex models and universality
Abstract:
Universality hypothesis states, that critical exponents of second order phase transition of the classical statistical model depends only on dimensionality of the model, symmetries of the state variable and range of the interactions. If true, hypothesis would lead to classification of the classical statistical model to so called universality classes. We will discuss universality hypothesis for the class of two-dimensional models called eight-vertex models.
