Finite Geometries: Other Notable Examples

Abstract:
In this talk, we shall first deal with finite projective lines featuring non-unimodular points. Then, the notion of a Veldkamp space will be introduced and illustrated on some examples. Finally, using this notion we shall explore properties of binary Segre varieties, projective spaces associated with Cayley-Dickson algebras and Dynkin diagrams.
