Classification of rotary and reflexible embeddings of Praeger-Xu graphs

 

Abstract:
Graphs in a family introduced by Praeger and Xu in 1989 have the property of having exceptionally large symmetry groups among all tetravalent graphs. In our talk, these graphs are considered in detail.
We apply techniques from coding theory to determine for which values of the parameters the graph allows a cycle structure, a semitransitive orientation, or a rotary or reflexible map.

This is joint work with Primoz Potocnik and Steve Wilson.
