Conversion-electron spectroscopy – Decay study of new isomeric states in 255No
Abstract:
Conversion-electron spectroscopy is relative new technique used in the studies of heavy isotopes (e.g 253No, 254No, 258Db). In this work its more sensitive modification will be introduced together with the recent results regarding the 255No, where two previously unobserved isomeric states were identified. Energies of conversion electrons (CEs) were analyzed to estimate excitation energies of these isomeric states. Also, tentative decay scheme of observed isomeric states in 255No will be proposed and their Nilsson configurations will be discussed. Energy decrease of the 11/2-[725] Nilsson level in the region of N = 153 isotones was firmly confirmed.
