Division of Nuclear Physics
Research topics
Division aims at the two main fields of low-energy nuclear physics within two research teams.
One team (link to webpage of the team) is involved in nuclear structure studies of atomic nuclei, nuclear reaction mechanism and production of exotic isotopes and superheavy elements carried out at world-leading experiments, e.g. SHIP in GSI Darmstadt, AGFA in Argonne National Laboratory, ISOLDE in CERN and others.
Another team aims at the study of rare types of nuclear processes (experiment NEMO), theoretical studies of weak interaction, neutrinos and theory of multi-nucleon systems.
