Department of Algebra, Geometry and Math Education
The department participates on teacher training study (combinations with mathematics and descriptive geometry) and on several bachelor/master professional degree programs. The department also offers three doctoral programs: Discrete Mathematics, Geometry and Topology and Theory of Mathematics Education. Our faculty members are involved in post-degree educational courses for teachers and in training of talented secondary school students.
The research program of the department is oriented at algebra, mathematical logic, graph theory, number theory, theory of real functions, lattice theory, algebraic, differential and general topology, and also on algebraic and differential geometry, geometric modeling, applied geometry, virtual reality, theory of mathematics education, and descriptive geometry.
