The Faculty of Mathematics Physics and informatics represented Comenius University (CU) in Madrid in three previous consecutive years (2014, 2015, 2016), and it always won the top positions. At this point, we cannot omit to mention our female basketball players, who were also part of the university team at the European Championships in Miskolc (July 2017), where they ranked 4th overall. Compared to that of the European universities, the sporting quality of our students is high indeed, which is why they represent our university at the third annual WIUC in Barcelona 2017, an event with approximately 2,500 participants (50 participants from our faculty) from 80 different universities. WIUC is one of the most spectacular events for students; its goal is to celebrate university sports promoting the principles of fair play, diversity and inclusion.
