Final year students may use the accommodation facilities during state exams
By: CU Public Relations Office
Due to the positive development of the COVID-19 situation in Slovakia and associated safety measures of public health authorities – Comenius University in Bratislava will provide accommodation for the final year students of both the first and the second grade of studies (combined first and second grade studies) during the time necessary to take the presence state exam. This accommodation will be available for a maximum of 3 nights only for the students who were accommodated in one of the university facilities (VI Družba UK/VM Ľ. Štúra – Mlyny UK) in the academic year 2019/2020. We would like to point out that this regulation may be changed according to the epidemiologic situation or based on safety measures issued by public authorities. Should it be necessary, accommodation will not be provided.
Application for accommodation of final year students is filled online via web application, no later than 5 working days before the exam. The accommodation facility will verify your registration for the state exam at the respective faculty. Given the current valid measures issued by the Public Health Authority of the Slovak Republic, hygienic and anti-epidemiologic measures, accommodation in the same room as before is not granted. It is possible to accommodate only the applicant; no accompanying person is allowed. Rooms will be assigned to students according to the current conditions. If the capacity is filled, the facility does not have to accept new applications, nor does it have to accept applications sent after the deadline (less than 5 working days before the exam). Due to the operational reasons, the lodging provider reserves the right to move the accommodated person into another room of the facility. No appeal concerning the room allotment is allowed.
The price for accommodation is 12€ (VAT included)/night; payment will be executed at the Department of Accommodation upon arrival. The price is valid also for students who still have a contract with the accommodation facility and a 70% discount from the price of accommodation (according to Article 2, paragraph 7 of the Rector’s Regulation, number 9/2020). Deposit for the key is 30€ (the price will be refunded upon departure).
While applying, the student is obliged to attach a statutory declaration about non-existence of infectious viral disease symptoms.
More information about accommodation can be found on the respective facility’s website.
Thank you for your understanding.
