Abstrakt:
In an era characterized by increasing cyber threats and a growing reliance on digital infrastructure, the imperative to quantify data security has emerged as a critical challenge. This literature review explores the necessity of data security quantification, emphasizing its role in decision-making and optimizing resource allocation. The review synthesizes various methodological models proposed in recent research to address this challenge. Probabilistic and Statistical Modeling Approaches leverage probability distributions and statistical inference. Game Theoretic Approaches model adversarial interactions between attackers and defenders, framing security as a strategic equilibrium. Stochastic Processes and Transition Approaches employ Markov chains to analyze system behavior under uncertainty, capturing temporal and state-dependent risks. Machine Learning and Data-Driven Approaches utilize pattern recognition, anomaly detection, and predictive analytics. Finally, Integrated and Hybrid Approaches combine multiple methodologies to address the limitations of individual techniques, offering frameworks that balance theoretical understanding with practical adaptability. By evaluating the limitations and applicability of these approaches across contexts such as cloud environments, IoT ecosystems, and critical infrastructure, it concludes by identifying gaps in current research, particularly in addressing emerging threats and ensuring robustness in systems.
